Word of the Week
The word for this week is:
TRUMPERY – n. 1. worthless nonsense; 2. trivial or useless articles; 3. junk
Root: Trumpery comes to us via Middle English from the Middle French word “tromper,” which means “to deceive.” It first appeared in English in the mid-15th century and meant “deceit” and “worthless nonsense.” Less than 100 years later, it was being applied to cluttering materials of litle or no value.
