I’ve been a professional copywriter in the Indianapolis area for 21 years now, since I moved here with my family in 1987.  Formerly an English and Special Education teacher, I have always loved writing and wanted to put those talents to use.

So, I decided to try my hand at copywriting and have been happily self-employed for more than two decades!  The copywriting projects that have come my way have been so varied that I never know what to tell people when they ask about a specific area of expertise.  I have written for industrial firms, hospitals, real estate developers and building contractors, law firms, technology companies, financial institutions – really, the projects have covered a wide range of subjects.  That’s what I love about freelance writing – I get to learn about so many interesting things.

I’ve also been blessed to work with so many wonderful people on many different types of projects.  I write brochures and websites and spec sheets and video scripts and training manuals and catalogs and marketing plans and PowerPoint presentations and letters and coffee table books and postcards and … and, and, and!  I never know what the next project will bring, and that is what keeps my job fresh and, hopefully, keeps me on my toes!
